After three years in the service he attended and graduated from The Art Center School (currently The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena CA). Tom's original career of photography has now extended from his schooling in 1951 until this day. This background of photography and advertising clients gave Tom invaluable assistance in all of his endeavors. </font> </p> <p><font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif" size="+2">I</font><font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif">n 1968 Tom acquired the property here in Fallbrook and launched his second career, a Macadamia tree nurseryman. Tom estimates he has grown and sold almost a quarter million Macadamia trees in the past 36 years. </font></p> <p><font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif" size="+2">W</font><font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif">hile growing these trees he became a member of the <a href="http://users.aol.com/CalMacSociety/" target="_blank">California Macadamia Society</a> and soon after was elected to a directorship serving eleven years. Eventually he was elected to Vice President, and also served as President. </font></p> <p><font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif" size="+2">I</font><font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif">n the mid eighties Tom resigned the Macadamia Society and commenced publishing "The Macadamia Nut Grower Quarterly" for the following eight years with the assistance of his wife, Cindy. The Quarterly was a newsletter providing information and opinion within the World Macadamia Industry. </font></p> <p><font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif" size="+2">T</font><font face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif">om constructed a roadside stand about 24 years ago and sells most of his Macadamia nuts and candies from this stand.
